The Best Dallas Nurseries to Visit
Last summer my freelance marketing life took me on several road trips around Texas and Oklahoma. We were looking for super cute nurseries that were also the best in the business. I’ve rounded up five amazing Dallas nurseries that I visited in June and July 2019, for you to visit and get your plant on!
Dallas Nurseries: Best in Selection
Nicholson-Hardie
West of the Tollroad
Nicholson-Hardie offers two locations in Dallas. Besides their indoor plant collection that you could get lost in, the location at 5725 West Lovers Lane has a great shop full of home decor and gifts! I loved the overall feel of this location and the staff were all super nice.

West of Inwood
Nicholson-Hardie’s second location at 5060 W Lovers Lane has a great outdoor selection and an easy parking lot to get in and out of. Bonus! After an afternoon of yoga next door you can stroll around and pick a plant to take home. Strolling around the outdoor section of nurseries is truly my favorite part!

North Haven Gardens
North Haven Gardens is currently (fall 2020) going through a bit of a remodel, but don’t let that stop you from visiting them! Their tropical greenhouse is open and ready for you, along with their website that is full of educational content. You can also order and schedule pick ups of your flower picks! Follow their construction progress on their Instagram at @northhavengardens. Their shop inside was a bit outdated, so I’m excited to see all the new things and plans they’ve mentioned on their social media pages! In normal, non-pandemic times, North Haven Gardens also offers fun popup markets and events. Have you been to one of their events? Let me know in the comments below
Location: 7700 Northaven Rd, Dallas, TX 75230
Dallas Nurseries: Best in Shop
Redenta’s Garden Shop
Redenta’s Garden Shop has a great selection of plants. It felt like the perfect mix of classic plant nursery and business that was staying with the times. Their outdoor section brought the classic, while the indoor plant shop and design bar bring in the Millennials and Gen Zers. Worried about not having that picture perfect plant? Let Redenta’s pot it up for you!
Location: 2001 Skillman St, Dallas, TX 75206
Ruibal’s Plants of Texas
Ruibal’s Plants of Texas was my second favorite stop of my two days visiting Dallas nurseries. While I only had time to visit their Farmers Market location, they offer three other Dallas nurseries too! The Garden Shop at their Farmers Market location also has a cute plant bar. Their website mentions the Rosemead location offers a Plant Shop as well. Parking around the Farmers Market location can be a little scarce, but the selection inside is so worth it! This place was huge and their younger staff were extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Here are all of their locations:
Farmers Market
601 S Pearl Expy, Dallas, TX 75201
Lemmon Ave
6630 Lemmon Ave, Dallas, TX 75209
Rosemeade Market
3646 Rosemeade Pkwy, Dallas, TX 75287
Lakewood
7219 E. Grand, Dallas, TX 75214
Oasis Plant Shop
I’ve saved the best for last! The Oasis Plant Shop has only been in business since 2018, but those ladies know their stuff. Also, the shop is literally in a green house and couldn’t be cuter on the inside! I also had a hometown connection with one of the owners, I went to school with her husband!
Location: 416 W Eighth Street, Dallas, TX 75208
Hi friends! Interesting in learning about what other nurseries I would recommend in Texas? See the Austin nurseries I loved here.
