Geronimo Creek Retreat Glamping
If you are searching for a glamping spot near San Antonio or Austin, Texas, Geronimo Creek Retreat is a great option! It would be perfect for a girls weekend, couple’s getaway, family vacation or any other type of trip. Best of all, all of their accommodations are air conditioned. A true must in Texas!
Getaway Cabins
In May 2019, I took advantage of a work trip and turned it into a scouting trip for an upcoming bachelorette weekend I was planning. Our party was going to be made up of four to five ladies, which would fit perfectly in a Getaway Cabin!
The maximum capacity of the Getaway Cabins are listed at 5 people. They each have two queen beds, a twin-sized day bed. They also came with a few throws, extra linens and towels, but the real treat of the cabin was the deck! The open air cooking space and elevated viewing area were perfect for coffee and would have been great to eat on. Wouldn’t you know it, I somehow didn’t get a photo of it!
The deck’s kitchenette is also where you wash you hands after using the cabin’s “half bath”.
Not interested in eating out on the deck? The cabin also has a small table inside. They also provide silverware and plate and cups! You can find all that and more in the cabin below the TV. Coffee machine, TV with cable, a microwave, cooktop, cookware and mini-fridge, what else do you need? Well if you stayed in cabin #2 after I did and they didn’t clean out the mini-fridge, you also would have gotten a cupcake!
Getaway Cabins also have a charcoal BBQ grill, picnic table, nice outdoor wicker furniture, hammock and fire pit available. In addition to the half bath that comes attached to each cabin, there are 7 full bathrooms located close by.
The entrances to the cabin (ours is shown below) had keypads that we received the code for through the property’s app. It was easy to unlock and felt secure to lock and leave our things behind. The app also had the wifi information
The Half Bath
To top off this glamping stay, each visit to the toilet was also an adventure! I’m not kidding. After we booked, I was emailed information on how to download the property’s app. Inside the app were instructions on how to use the glamping cabin’s incineration toilet! What?!
Travel Tip #28: Don’t forget the bowl liner.
Don’t let this turn you off from renting a cabin at Geronimo Creek Retreat though. They have other standard toilets you can use if you’d prefer! But, if you are up for an adventure, go for it! I explain how to use the incineration toilet here, there’s also a quick video overview.
As I always like to share the costs for my budget conscious readers! Our cabin on a weeknight in May (2019) was $78 per night and the total with taxes was $132.21. Most of the weekends during the year require a two night stay to book, except for during the summer season when you have to book three nights on the weekend.
Other Geronimo Creek Retreat Accommodations
Geronimo Creek Retreat Teepees
The teepees at Geronimo Creek look really cool, don’t let this angle turn you off. The pond hopefully doesn’t always look like that, but here is teepee #0. The teepees are also air conditioned and sleep four to six people. You can read more about the teepees here.
Other accommodations include treehouses and the Homestead Haus. You can see more on these properties at the Geronimo Creek Retreat website.
The property is also pet friendly property (with small deposit). Of course, always keep your pet inside your space and on a leash.
Amenities of Geronimo Creek Retreat
The common area pictured above also has a TV, foosball and ping pong. There were a lot of people enjoying the hot tub when we stayed, and communal hot tubs aren’t really my thing. Geronimo Creek also has kayaks paddle boards and a rope swing so you can enjoy the river! The grounds also have a volleyball court, cornhole near the teepes, a basketball court and horseshoe pits!
Address: 2050 Laubach Road, Seguin, TX 78155
One last thing, if you’ve heard of Sons Island you can usually get a discount from Geronimo Creek’s website here! They also emailed me a discount code after we booked.

I have yet to do glamping, and this makes me so excited to try it. I’m not an outdoorsy person, but with so many creature comforts, I’d be really into this. This honestly looks like the perfect place to do a girls trip!

Glamping has always been an interest. Thanks for the idea for a location to visit.

This was my first experience and I certainly caught the glamping bug! I went glamping three more times that year ?
Michelle
This place looks really cool! It might be the option that I am looking for since I am done with the camping years and might want to step up to glamping. I love the teepees too. Are they just as nice inside?
Jac | Texan Travels
They are! The toilet isn’t attached, you have to walk a little ways to it, but it is private. They look so roomy inside, which was surprising!
